Nice Cruiser but nowhere near the articulation of the old 73.

My old 60 in Lanno

Hey mate, how do you find the new FJ?

Like the look of them and keen to check them out for my next upgrade. Probably wouldn't get the lift straight away but keen on roof top tent, bull bar, decent tyres etc. Are they pretty capable in stock form and what kind of fuel usage are you seeing? Any bits that piss you off that I should watch out for?

Cheers.

Get about 13litres per 100km around town.
Only complaint is it really is a 2 person car, if you had kids the suicide doors would be a pain in the ass especially in a tight carpark it takes a bit of stuffing around to get passengers out of the back as you need the driver door open to open the rear door.
But this doesnt phase me to much as i only use it as a 2 seater (for now anyway)
Other than that, really capable straight off the factory floor offroad, and on road it drives just like a car.
So quite happy all in all

Anyone looked into setting up a WRX with a raised suspension set up? Not talking 4wd stuff here.... I do get that it's not a 4WD.

I'm considering replacing my old bunky at some stage and IF I can stretch the budget considering getting an 02 and setting up with more of a WRC Gravel / Safari style. More ground clearance and higher profile rubber with smaller rim diameter etc.

Not going the dumped style the roads up here are shocking and like the idea of something little different for around town and the occassional gravel surf track.

Any thoughts on struts / springs / geometry issues?
