Powerlines
Hi Guys,
I'm taking my hilux out to the powerlines tomorrow, any tips or suggestions on the track and what i can expect? |
What's "The Powerlines"?? More info!! Mooaarr!!1
|
I would expect much dust and others out and about.
They start from near Mundaring and head Eastish. |
Make sure everything is well secured & no loose objects in the car.
Avoid the rocky sections, they are not kind to your car. Ground clearance is good. Go through every bit of water/mud you can find. Post pics! |
Cheers for the info!
Thinking of starting off Mundering Weir Rd then head east. Ground clearence is standard, so its not to bad. but i'll be avoiding rocks when possible until i get some under body protection! Pics to follow :D |

[/QUOTE] But then those who do use it run 35s + and 4 inch lift + makes the standard ground clearance look like a road car.:D Take it slow, look at each obstacle before driving it, and when you get hung up photo time. Been a few years since i last did this, but there were plenty of options for all vehicles to go from start to wherever you want to get off. Other hand things, snatch strap, somewhere secure to attach it and another vehicle. |

I've only got 31" ATZ's on mine atm. lift and bash plate are on the card shortly :D |
there are heaps of chicken tracks to get around if its to dodgy, watch out for the massive trenches at the end. it hasnt rained in a while so there should be no puddles. take your time and make sure you have a mate with snatch / winch capabilities with you
and have fun! doing it at night is better tho ;) |
doing it at night and back ward is also a better challenge
|
So how did you go.
