Zerosports did make an ECU, but its not a programmable ECU...its a plug-in ECU that has a pre-set map on it.

You might find that the Z4 is really just using a 27C1028 eeprom which can be rewritten with other variables.

You just need someone who has a programmer, some knowledge and a uv eraser.

and it might pay to see what its tuned for..

maybe its been tuned for 100ron fuel (not avail here).

Yep...Z4 is for 100 octane only.......Google is your friend!

sinizter 24-04-2009 06:45 PM

so... will running on 98 octane create problems with normal street driveing when the ecu is tuned for 100?

Rossco 24-04-2009 07:07 PM

Yes.

Ping!........Boom!

Aparently they run fairly agressive timing curves.

They apear to come in 4 flavours:
Base 1, base 2
Race 1 & race 2

All are Non-programable.

I wouldn't run it unless you have shares in a touluene company.

yeah it has so much balls compaired to a normal v5. eh prob get a power fc after pits lol or a motec

I run a stage 3 (most aggresive) zerosports computer in my car, on 98ron - I have never had a problem, the tune has been tested as safe and the car is much perkier over standard....
