Diablo has a nice angry stance but the F40's will always be auto-porn!!

Have u ever been in one Jan??

FFOUR 03-03-2007 12:57 AM

Nah Mat, still hoping. The only of the Supercar Ferraris I've been in is the F50.

trainwrex 03-03-2007 07:55 AM

oh yeah, agreed 100% :D

slappy 03-03-2007 11:34 AM

Were they taken with the 17-40mm? Im guessing not as you can get rid of the tint pattern using a circular polariser...

Nice pics as usual though, quality car pr0n!

Taken with the 18-55, didn't have the 17-40 at the time.

Awesome as expected Jan... Saw a Red F430 on leach hwy today... older asian lady driver... *Bring Bring* :p

DEDLYWEPN 04-03-2007 09:16 AM

F430 gets my vote, awesome looking vehicle.

urabus 06-03-2007 12:50 PM

599 for the win. The car mags go mad over them and the performance figures are sensational.

Amazing what can happen with a properly engineered front engine RWD car as opposed to the farm yard mechanics at HSV / FPV.

EXPLICIT 06-03-2007 04:07 PM

LOL @ farm yard!!!!

Couldn't make it unfortunately, really keen to see F40 tho!

FFOUR 06-03-2007 10:35 PM

Yeah was worth it for the 2 x F40's, not often you see them - once at a trackday and another time on a Ferrari Club drive.

Hopefully this second one which has arrived will be out and about more (despite it not being road legal but who cares :p )

mr_psi 07-03-2007 12:01 AM

is a F40 not road legal? how comes?

Mat 07-03-2007 01:04 AM

Nah..

1200 odd kgs, just under 500hp from a 2.9lt TTV8, minimum interior, cable thing instead of door handles, lots of track gear and LHD (were they all??). Some came out with more track add ons and about 700hp..

Would be awesome to see one up close or even sit in one! While hardly street legal, i dont think an owner would have too many complaints if he lapped cott or freo on a nice sunday arvo in it!

FFOUR 07-03-2007 09:07 AM

They were all (bar one for the Sultan of Brunei) made LHD and less than 30 years old so therefore not registerable in Australia, or something like that.

You can get 28-day permits for them which is what alot of guys over east do, which means it is allowed to be driven to/from tracks, workshops etc....easy enough to bullshit your way out of that.

Moral of the story - there is a way and I'd be doing it for sure if I owned one.
