Same reason people run bucketfulls of neg camber with stretched tires, kits scraping the ground, heavy ass audio gear....it's because they are stupid.

Is it just me or is there something up with the wheels in that shot, could be the light but they look out of round.

I'm guessing they are running stupid amounts of camber giving that illusion the tops are thinner than the bottoms from that angle.

From looking at it i was thinking the same thing, hence so much shadow on the top half of the rims....
