Albany Classic Hill Climb

Went down this afternoon and got a few pictures.

Brad [WRX-STI] blew a hose off on his first run and retired after that.
Apparently it was pissing down with rain all morning and with some odd lightning too.

DEDLYWEPN 31-05-2008 06:22 PM

why the tiny wheels brad?

SPEC IV 31-05-2008 06:30 PM

from my understanding 16-17" wheels are best for track/drag work etc..

jEstEr? 31-05-2008 07:27 PM

real tyres, not 18" ice blocks

ImPreSiV 31-05-2008 07:55 PM

he was running r-comps. that second pic of brad's car in motion is the moment the intercooler pipe went pop.

does anyone know how you get involved in this? ie cost etc. would be interested in giving it a go next year.

ImPreSiV 01-06-2008 07:48 PM

Pretty sure its run under CAMS, and i think the cost for just the hill run side of things (yesterday) was around $150. Obviously, today's race was entirely classics, and tomorrow, they have another hill climb out at the windfarm. Not sure what the cost for the 2 events would be. Maybe Franz or Brad can shed some light.
