Apple photo services FTW

So every man and his dog should know by now that I am the biggest Apple Fan Boy this side of Baghdad.

This just takes the cake on customer service from Apple.

To cut a super long story short, I was a groomsman in my cousins wedding in the U.S in September. The missus and I as a wedding present said we will be like 2 Jap tourists and take wayyy too many photos of every second we spend with my cousin and his wife whilst there.

So we get back to Australia and construct a photo book using iPhoto and Apple Photo services.

We create the book, once again it is fucking amazing (2nd one we have ever made) and we are super happy.

We give it to my cousin and his new wife when they come to Oz for their Honeymoon and they thought it was the best thing ever.

Everybody is happy.

A month passes and my cousins wife e-mails me and says that her sisters cats decided to rip the shit out of the dust cover of the photo book and wants to know if we can replace it before James (my cousin) finds out. (I personally think, using the cats as cray bait would be a good idea)

So I E-mailed her back saying that I doubt Apple just sells the dust covers. Anyway I am correct.

Here is the following email from me:

Hello,

I created a Photo book for a gift, I received the book and it is great. The recipient of the gift contacted me today and the cover has been torn apart by a cat. Am I able to order just the cover again please?

Thanks

Dear Daniel,

I understand that you would like to order a dust jacket. I'm sorry, but currently Apple does not sell dust jackets individually. Dust jackets may be purchased only as part of an entire keepsake book order.

After careful consideration of your request, a refund for order xxxxx will be issued in the amount of $53.12. The credit will be issued to your credit card within 3-5 business days. Please contact your credit card company for more information on when the credit will post to your account.

Please note that this refund is a one-time exception to the Apple Photo Services Sales Policy. For more information on our sales policies please visit:

You can now resubmit the order at your convenience.

Thank you for your support; Apple appreciates your business.

Sincerely,

Jeff

Yeah they are really pushing this printing venture. That said I have always had good experiences with apple after sales service. I know others may have not but so far so good.
