Looking for good SMALL compact camera
As the title. Can anyone point me in the direction of a good quality compact camera for my wife? I have one of the new Panasonic Lumnix cameras but she needs something she can just put in her purse when she goes out.
Smaller the better but don't want a crappy camera. Cheers Dan |
Yeah ive got a new lumix too, cost about 300 dollars and has been abolutely great so far, takes so really specky shots for a point and shoot,
My vote is get another one |
get the olympus 12mp 3m waterproof, drop proof, freeze proof ect for $300

Leica C-lux series.
mandurah camera house are the cheapest in oz atm. |
my friend has the olympus and I have the Lumix DtF1, great cameras, but not super compact, i prefer the lumix, its made in japan also, whereas the olympus is china.
i guess it depends on how big her purse is? |
I've had both the Olympus and now the Lumnix and can safely say the Lumnix takes FAR better shots. I'm just after something more compact for her. Doesn't have to be indestructible. I love the Lumnix but its still a bit more bulky than some of the others I've seen.

What are you talking about bulky?!
Mines approx 6cm x 13cm x 2cm, weighs next to nothing and easily fits in all my pockets, may be a different model, mines the DMC F57 if that makes a difference |
exact same, its a tad on the bulky side compared to some of the other camera's I have seen. I don't mind it but Im after something smaller for my wife.
|
scratch that I have a DMC ft1
