Recuva is not bad - GetDataBack has saved many a customer - even if it takes 2 days to run.

I've successfully used an app called Active Undelete to retrieve deleted files from flash memory cards, USB thumbdrives and even a mobile phone's internal storage perhaps just keep trying different recovery apps until you get the result?

I swear by GetDataBack. Recovered things dozens of times with this program.

Theres also another decent one called Filescavenger. Both can be found as torrents somewhere pretty easily.

If the card is NTFS formatted, using GetDataBack for ntfs I would almost 100% guarantee you will get it back. FAT formatted... not so much. Its possible, and fairly decent chance if the files have only been deleted, but because its such a shit way of indexing files, It usually finds the file headers pretty easily, but the rest of the file is gone.

Good luck!

Well everyone, thanks for the help but the card had been zero'd out Doing some research, Olympus and Fuji are notorious for this.

I followed a data recovery process found on diskdigger that pretty much said to format the disk in a command prompt and then try (this is after a heap of other tricks as this seemed extremely dumb to me)

Anyway, after following the process it recovered 4 files but they were camera setting files and no images.

Ahh well. I let the neighbours know that they could send it to forensic data over east if they really wanted to but I think they are just giving up.

I dont think forensic could recover it from an SD Card with possibly more than one set of Full Zero formats. SD Card just doesnt keep a hold of that much in terms of indexing if im not mistaken?

If it's been zero written it's most likely gone.
