For sale is a MY99 Subaru Impreza WRX

The car was bought back in December 2010. Originally from VIC, it was unlicensed but was taken over the pits here in January 2011.
This was daily driven until it blew a head gasket about six weeks ago.
The idea was to convert this to a track car, but at the moment its just sitting here and surplus to our requirements and the fact ive got lots of other commitments!

Odometer reads circa 149000km
There is an aftermarket sunroof fitted and works perfect.
The engine bay is virtually stock apart from alloy radiator. There is genuine Apexi strut and springs in the car and handles really well, also has Apexi front and rear sway bars
The exhaust system is a stock turbo back system with an STi muffler, sounds good for daily driving


Notes to consider:
- The electric windows work well at the front but rear drivers window is getting a bit sad going up and down.
- some holes on the front seats (foam is still firm - worth re-upholstering)
- Motor (obviously)
- Gearbox is slighty notchy when changing gears
- Worth getting front and rear bumpers resprayed if not using as track car
- stone chips on bonnet
- Air con needs gassing

Car comes with 2x sets of wheels : 17'' Gmax wheels with Federal 595 (wheels are scrubbed abit) and set of 16'' 5 spoke silver mags with 20% rubber
-I can throw in complete front and rear (hub to hub) cradles from a MY99 WRX, Lots of spares from another MY99 WRX I wrecked a couple years ago.
and plenty of other parts for consumables if required.

With the car in its current state Im looking at $6000 firm for the car and all the extra bits that will come with it as described.

My suggestion to those interested is to see whats the cost of replacing the head gaskets (refer to the Workshops Thread) or if you have a spare half cut and drop the motor in, change engine number and be on your way.
Being already licenced its a great project to make into a track hack car. This will appeal to those that are handy with a spanner or someone looking to build as a first turbo car, the world is your oyster

Sorry Jason as discussed on phone, the chap who was picking some other related parts at 8pm last night decided he wanted a project too! caught me off guard heh
I was surprised by the demand for this considering the problem
Pulled the motor apart this arvo and its definitely a blown head gasket.. at least im at peace knowing whats happened!
