As some of you are aware ive started my own side business maing plastic components for cars.

I am posting to find out if there would be some interested in 2 parts in particular before i go ahead and start making them.

1. A gauge pod for the steering wheel cover, it will sit off the top left corner from cover.
View to the fuel and temp gauges will not be obstructed. It will mould nicely and solidly to the cover and bolt through the cover itself.

It will be adjustable up and down

It will be 52mm (i think this is the standard size?) however depending on the success multiple sizes can be done.

2. A triple gauge pod for the sun glasses compartment at the top above the air con vents.

The gauge pod will be available in either a rawish format, it will need to be sanded and sprayed with some primer to get a nice smooth shine.

OR it can be bought already done. This will be about double the price of the pod itself.


Initial estimated on prices

Raw Pod ~ $15-20 (depending on numbers of interested)
Sanded and Painted ~ $40

As for the triple gauge cluster im not sure as i may need to make it in multiple parts.

singles definitely.

Triples are much harder and at the end of the list.

Single that moulds to the steering wheel is high priority cause i need one for the boost gauge rolling around in my footwell.

Deff keen on triple pod gauge

triple gauge pods will be a longer term item, im trying to figure out if i can do them or not purely because it will take a fair bit of my time to assemble etc and sand/paint etc. May not be worth the time for the price.

Singles may be very easy though

Im keen for a single gauge pod in 60mm, would like one that is moulded to my A-pillar, if that is possible?
