Of course I hadn't appreciated that the main height adjustment was via the coilover base rather than the spring plate....this is a different system than say DMS where the base of the coilover is...

Umm...lowering the spring plate will not alter...
Umm...lowering the spring plate will not alter the distance between the bottom of the damper and the driveshaft boot...that is fixed.
Saying that, it is a well known issue that a coilover damper...
