If that's the case I'll just get a new set of rods that are the correct ones, but I'll wait till the motors apart again and have measured everything up just to make sure...

HELP!!!

As per title

Can the EJ257 Pistons be used in a EJ255 Block without any changes to heads or gaskets or anything else?
From What I've read there should be no issue...

just to clarify the drive shafts are the ones that go from the diff to the hubs. the tailshaft goes from the rear of the gearbox to the diff.

well it just took me an hour to take the diff out...

well it just took me an hour to take the diff out and strip it apart, seems like the clutch packs are rooted, chunks of metal everywhere but the diff housing its self looks like its in good condition...
