any impreza version 2 sti ecu would be a straight fit.

1sicrs 30-12-2010 08:25 AM

sweet az cheers for the info how much roughly should one cost looking to get one asap

tuna 30-12-2010 08:54 AM

maybe $200-$500 ? depending on what you get

hard to guage, as they are not hugely sought after for impreza's

most people would prefer a plug and play replacement to make more power

I believe that Wolf do a plug and play for RS. You say its a 89 model. Is it an import? RS didn't come to Australia till 92.

1sicrs 30-12-2010 09:14 AM

yeh its a import rs legacy type r got abs brakes sunroof etc. im happy as with it been in a shed for 7 plus years had a nice family of red backs and various other spiders that came with it to hahaha

Power FC if you want something aftermarket. Although they are out of production so you'll have to keep your eye open on the second hand market.

Any ECU can work, it comes down to the ability of the Tuner to make it work.
