7K = reference code for easy identification.

22611 (ECU part category)
AC710 (Part revision)
A18-000-D22 = Unisia Jecs part number. (Jecs builds the ECU for Subaru)
D22 (Part revision) this number is usually found on a sticker on the socket. This ties the
case to the ECU board. [up to version 3 afaik]
5X11 = ECU serial number
note: sometimes the ECU revision may be out by a few numbers eg. AC710 -> AC711 This is the same ECU with a minor revision, possibly to the tune or maybe to correct a bug. only Jecs knows.
nice post!
Yes.. It took ages to find all the info... Still needs a few of the stock non-sti 3 plug yellow connectors.. I think all the 4 plug yellow ECUs are there..

I'm trying to go for a STI "75" blue ECU.. Haven't pluged it in... But think i need to add air box temp sensor. Not sure if any other pins need to be moved.. And re-coding for Key chip i guess...

Turbo and injectors as well... Lots to do!

Greart info. ! Thanks Guy !!
And Do you know that can I use AD170 instead of AD722 directly without other modification ?
Thanks again!!

This looks promising. This looks like the right place to ask this question.

I have a (possibly) JDM engine and ecu that I (an American) bought from a Canadian "JDM import" company. I have an ecu with a really big "E6" and some other numbers and "AE831" which may or may not be helpful in identifying what car it came from. The engine code on the timing cover of the engine was EJ205DWZKE-019 (and other numbers as well)...

So I'm trying to figure out (on multiple forums, mind you) where did these things come from, did they come from the same car, and if not, how fucked am I?

Saint_23 16-10-2013 03:24 PM

EJ205 is a 2 litre WRX (not STi) engine. Cant narrow it down much more than that.

Ask a Subaru dealer to search the engine number, they may be able to tell you what it was originally in.

Wr3nch0matic 22-10-2013 08:23 AM

Oh yeah, I figured out that my engine, trans and ecu that I bought are actually from a '99 turbo forester. The car runs and drives, but I have a code 45 for the pressure exchange solenoid and the problem appears to be that the ecu isn't switching the circuit to ground.

The dealer probably isn't going to be able to help much since none of these parts are from the USDM range of vehicles.

But does anyone have any ideas about what wrx ecus (Subaru factory ecus or aftermarket) would be compatible with my new engine?

Advice / Help please

Hi,

Been looking at the info you posted above very interesting.

Im after a little help not sure if you know the info. My car has a 8S ECU Standard. I have bought a 6S ecu with ESL Is there any pin outs I need to do to get this to run on the car or does it need any coding to the car?
Any help would be good thank you.
