MY98 wrx sti jdm ecu
Hi guy after some info on using a jdm ecu for my MY98 wrx!
I have recently purchased a MY98 wrx as a parts car for the running gear for my non turbo Impreza. The car did not come with the immobiliser unit or key and I've been searching everywhere to find the right parts only to keep hitting dead ends or end up with wrong parts. I'm lead to believe that using a jdm ecu will solve my immobiliser probably as the jdm ecu doesn't require the reference code to power the ecu up? And also will I need go re-pin the jdm ecu to work with the original wrx loom? And will a jdm ecu work at all? And info on this will be greatly appreciated as I'm about to purchase a jdm ecu but won't pull the trigger till I'm a 100% sure Cheers |

100% what Seagull said.
It's well documented. You're going to have to use the search function, or even Google. |
