Rolling the guards isn't a big/expensive job - Don't be afraid. To get the flush look without going to mexico, you pretty much have to roll to avoid rubbing when cornering etc. Remember you can adjust the camber to negate rubbing as well.

Readjusting the geometry of your suspension to suit new rims is roughly around the same cost of rolling all the guards i would say.
