gearbox parts - 5th gear
 

Having trouble with finding 5th gear in my MY00. Pulled the gearbox out and apart - 5th gear syncro clips ("Shifting insert keys") are broken and the selector fork plastic spacer pads are broken too. Everything looks OK, but haven't had a chance to drop the rear main shaft lock nut off yet ...

Anyone with box in parts / required parts (say, everything 5th gear -> locknut just to be sure) please PM.

Anyone? Surely theres some people with a blown box or gear set lying around!

Try J.L auto parts in malaga they have couple of gear boxes i think 1 thats in parts....

Still havn't found what I'm after. Looking like its time to call Subaru? One last go I suppose.

Alternatively I'm chasing some "shifting insert keys (5th-rev)" which are little H clips that sit between the baulk rings of 5th and rev on the syncro. I'm also after the 5th gear shifter fork (or at least the little pads on it).

I reckon I'll have a 00 5th fork, probably the inserts too. Not the hub though, they always break too. Is the reverse brake bearing siezed too?

Only issues I could see was one of the insert keys being broken. Pad on the shifter fork has disappeared which isn't ideal either. The gear / syncro's are looking pretty worn so would rather replace with a whole new set rather then have it half-arsed. Most second hand bits would be in better condition then what I have anyway.
