Geoffs dad made these tools , there for the plastic type cam wheels with the large hex in the center. There is two types as one is curved to fit the internal shape of the wheel.
He did a very nice job on them and I have used them a few times. On late type AVCS cams I had a shitt of of a job removing mine as the alan key was so tight and the alan key rounded easly. I ended up tig welding a 17 mm nut to them then heating the stud up with the heat gun. Once it cooled down it came loose easy. |

yer jim at blue star hes tool was made to fit all of them, except the AVCS gears. I'll just attack it one gear at a time and see how i go. It will only take me 20min to get to that stage.

Spanners and makeshift tools ftw.
Needed: - One person to hold block; - One person to hold spanner on cam; and - One persone with makeshift tool connected to modified strong arm. Happy days

I turned one of those round with a nuckle bar on the hex socket and length of pipe on the knuckle bar - was never coming out.
Drilled of the head and then it winds out with fingers. For the cam (avcs) that I couldnt get a spanner onto I just locked multigrips onto the spanner section of the cam.
