Remember a GC8 covers 1994 to 2000.

94-96 = Cheap
97-98 = Better
99-00 = Best price

But it comes down to what you have included in the car. Bog stock WRX will get bog stock price.

If you want one with 6 speed, ecu, diffs, brembos, bracing, seats, yada. You can have mine for $25k.

It depreciates just a fast as the next car (maybe not as fast as a Holden or Ford)

I wouldn't pay more than 12k for a gc8 wrx, and for $12k, it would want to be in tip top condition. And as for those crack head Version 6 owners who think they have an appreciating asset, it's not, it's still a 12 year old car! They aren't worth more than $20k, if that.
What I value them at:
Version 6 in Mint cond - $18-19k
Version 6 - $16k
WRX Mint - $13kish
WRX Average - $10k
WRX Shitty - $6k

As you say - Its worth what somebody will pay for it.

Sup OP. I have a 99 Red GC8 that I'm about to prep for a sell. It's my daily driver. I sent you a text. If you want to take a look at it and give it a drive just let me know. I just pre-ordered a Toyota 86. My GC8 is bone stock btw. Runs like a champ.
