Default Stock MY11 - MY13 STi Sedan exhaust.

Hi everyone,

I've just purchased a MY12 STi sedan which has had a turbo back exhaust fitted.

I'm wanting to change it back to the stock exhaust as the one that is fitted is way too loud for my liking.

If anyone has a stock MY11 - MY13 STi exhaust to suit a sedan collecting dust and you no longer want it, please let me know how much you're after and I'd be more than happy to take it off your hands.

Cheers,

Shane

Are you in Brisbane? Going to be tough getting a local one on a Perth forum I'd think.

No idea what sort it is, I just know its's damn loud!

I've had quite a few WRX's and STi's in the past, majority with 3 inch TBE and none including my old track car have never been this loud..

Maybe four years without a rex has made my ears more sensitive? Either that or the old age thing is kicking in.

I pick the car up from Rockingham on Saturday, I'll suss out what the exhaust is then and report back.

Probably has no centre resonator and a hot dog rear muffler.

Put in a centre resonator and/or at the very least change the rear mufflers to oval ones.

I say keep the exhaust and try to modify it to quieten it down.

I'll take a closer look at the exhaust that's on it today and see what sort of setup it is.

Either way, it will getting replaced with a standard exhaust (If I ever find one!). As much as I love the sound, I'm not confident my neighbours in the small complex where I live would appreciate it as much....

So anyone out there got a standard MY11+ STi Sedan exhaust?

What do you guys think the likelihood would be of somewhere like Maximum Motorsport having a stock exhaust lying around? I might give them a buzz on Monday..

Cheers,

Shane

Are you sure your car hasn't been tuned to that exhaust? If so you might be shafting yourself.

Why don't you go and talk to some of the well known shops around, they may be able to weld in a resonator if required.
