Good luck mate, I looked at getting one of these a couple of years ago only to hit a dead-end. Found a company in the US that sold them for $25...but with $80 in postage fees I ended up just pushing the antenna down all the way and living with it like that lol Your best (and cheapest) option would probably be to cut out a bit of metal/plastic to fit and then paint it DIY.
If you do manage to get one though, please let me know where from!

JDM_STYLE 04-05-2016 06:25 PM

I used to sell them with a replacement internal mounted ariel, I've been asked to get them a few times but not worth it to get 1 or 2.

Need to be at least 5+

Price before was $32ea iirc.

How good did the internal one work would be keen for prob 2

I'll put money down for one if you do decide to do another group buy Wayne. I'm not in WA anymore though, so might need shipping.

Just cut one out of a piece of flat carbon fibre....MMS may be able to assist

Kremer930 05-05-2016 07:54 PM

Wayne. What do they look like? I have a small alloy/carbon antenna but radio reception suffers because of it.

Are you willing to do a group buy on them mate?
Looks like we have a few people interested.
I've seen someone over east sell them for around $65, which is a bit silly for such a small trim item.

Kremer930 06-05-2016 06:41 PM

I am probably keen. Especially if it is the blank with the radio booster.

JDM_STYLE 07-05-2016 11:45 AM

Will send off an email and see what they come back with, the dollar is pretty shit compared with when I did them before so I expect a nice price increase.

Grimmspeed also make an antenna delete.

SirLadz 07-05-2016 10:23 PM

If these also fit an 01' bugeye when they still had the antenna i'm also interested

Kremer930 08-05-2016 07:02 PM

I was looking to see what the deletes look like when I came across this within Grimmspeeds catalogue.

Is good piss take yes.

Kremer930 08-05-2016 08:05 PM

They spent ages just to have a laugh. Kind of makes me wonder what the most obnoxious screamer gate setup is.

JDM_STYLE 11-05-2016 05:15 PM

Still waiting for a reply back from the US...

JDM_STYLE 14-05-2016 06:38 PM

Ok got a reply but it's just as I thought and the original reason why I stopped selling them before, cost is going to be $45AUD ea delete and that includes shipping from the US to me.

That pricing is also for a purchase of 10, so don't think we'll get the numbers at that price.

Alternatively you can get them from CMA over east for $44.95 + $13.75 shipping.

Might look into getting these made up again but could take awhile.

Bruno 14-05-2016 09:06 PM

Is that with the antenna as well?

Nope just the delete, would more than likely be at least double if it included the antenna...

Bruno 14-05-2016 10:57 PM

Ahhh ok

I like the way subaru did it on the SG forester. The antenna is printed onto the glass in the rear side windows of the wagon. Neat, clean & works good. And they were doing back in 2003.

astralex 16-05-2016 09:40 AM

^^ Mazda had the antenna running through the windscreen glass in the '70's.
