Default Version 6 STI

Guys/girls.

I just had a quick question on what these are worth these days. Pretty sure Ross rossco sold his for 14k not that long ago and I've seen 2 stockers on carsales recently for 30k and 33k.

I'm thinking about parting with my MY15 STI premium (24000kms) for a version 6 and a daily driver but just wondering if I completely under estimated their current value.

Cheers

The worth of the car comes down to how much someone is willing to pay for it in the end, some are stock as new condition and collectors will be happy to buy one at a high price, some are modded with built motors, six speed drivelines and aftermarket ecu's and go for a fair amount, others are more run down and need a fair bit of money spent on parts to fix it back up and will go for less.

In my experience the ones needing work will set you back anywhere from 8-10k
Modded 10-15k
Immaculate (collector worthy) 15k+

Some are done up to the nines and are also in immaculate condition and will be asking more

That's my opinion anyway

I know a car is worth what someone is willing to pay for it but was wondering if I had misread what I thought they were worth. I'd pay 15k for a very good low kms stocker but they are advertised for 30 and 33k.

$33k for a 4-door with 100,000ks on it is crack price.

Yes they will go up in value, with the 2-door fetching the most I would imagine (followed by 4-dooor RA?) but I think for these cars to be genuinely worth those $$ they're still not old enough yet.

Look for something circa $15k for a good clean relatively stock example.

My personal opinion is a pristine version 6 with under 100k should go for around 15-17k.
Once they hit 25 years though i dare say these things will become collectables. There were only 799 version 5/6s sent to this country. Alot have been crashed, raced, modded beyond recognition by P platers etc etc.
They also hold a lot of heritage and when the playstation generation become older they are going to want these cars.

A good stock version will definitely be worth $$$.
This is just my opinion so dont crucify me
