Hey Guys,

Been around for a bit, thought i'd finally make this post.

My first car (yes first, and i am on P's til sept =\) was Bernards MY05 blue WRX.

I bought the car as it was and hadn't modified it other than the carbon scoop. The following mods were included with the car.

STi front splitters
STi Spoiler
STi Front Lip
STi Fog Light Covers

18” Work Emotion Wheels (think they were CR-KAI?)

Sti links
Whiteline Front adjustable swaybar
Whiteline Rear swaybar
STi Strut Brace
King Low Springs.

Pioneer DVD Head unit.
Kenwood Amp
Alpine type-S Sub.

I had solid plans to go over east so I sold my car since NSW laws won't allow P-Platers drive turbo cars. My plans fell through since I got pussy whipped, so I had looked at buying that Version 4 type R vlimited with the 6 speed conversion and GD cluster setup off Kristian but was unlucky with that as he sold it to someone else.

Eventually came around to getting something and went Euro since i got desperate, i bought Stuarts MKIV R32 Golf which was alot of fun.

Again I didnt mod this, the only thing i did do was change the head deck around since the tape deck is just absolutely awful and i love my music so, it had to go. Threw in a JL Audio amp & Sub which i've now kept since i sold the car, see below.

4 Motion AWD #084/200

Painted satin black wheels
Lowered springs
K+N Panel filter
Removed resonator. Made it sound quite amazing..
Kenwood head unit.

Though I quite enjoyed the car, it just wasnt me. So now i've had the opportunity to get into the seat of a Version 6 Type RA which was formerly Blaise/Pete's car. Mods are copied straight from the advertisement.

Being back in a wrx gives me a mad stiffy.

Very nice run of cars dude....

How did that blue 05 go with those mods?

I remember seeing that car on carsales way back when i first started looking for an upgrade....looked mint!

Also how come you weren't feeling the r32?...always thought that combination of big engine in light car with 4wd was winner...

ImPreSiV 18-03-2011 10:18 AM

Hey Dude,

congratulations on the purchase of that car! It's a weapon and one of the cleanest GC8's around! Good work! Make sure you keep it that way! You should have the biggest smile on your face when you drive it away today!

Good write up there Farnam!
Bring the RA round to mine and Stevey's work ASAP and then we can go rip some skidz in our lunch break!

The Blue 05 went fine, i didnt particularly like the Link G3 ECU though, the rotational idle was quite annoying, sometimes it would stall if i wasn't careful.

The R32 was a great car. I just have my preferences with Subaru's over anything else, so i sold it and got the RA for sale.

The MK4 R32's are the 3.2l V6 and actually weight alot more than you might think. Kerb weight is ~1455kg. pretty heavy for a hatch?

I have the same problem with my link, its like that with the old ones. Solution = G4 :D

Every time I see a Golf R/GTi series it cements in my mind that this will be the next car I purchase!

Nice garage mate!
