I have my stainless braided type RA lines :( might be able to utilize them maybe

jEstEr? 18-08-2011 03:37 PM

type ra came with rubber lines, but you should be able to use the braided ones no worries

H1GHROLLR 18-08-2011 03:39 PM

Hmmm mine has braided line all the way through , might try use them :) thanks for your help jester

Riggs 18-08-2011 03:58 PM

Late model 4 pot fronts 2 pot rears, decent rotors (eg DBA 4000) and pads with your braided lines.

Great bang for buck package, and done properly can be on par with stock GD Brembos

Yah they left the factory with rubber but its not inconceivable that someone has put braided lines on in the last 16 years. I have the aftermarket STI ones from a GD on my 93 GX running prodrive front and MY02 WRX rears... its like lego :)

tuna 19-08-2011 07:12 PM

keep them looking factory/original (black/grey) like 99% of your engine bay and you cant go wrong!

H1GHROLLR 19-08-2011 07:21 PM

grey brakes black rotors i think :)

ON888 19-08-2011 08:14 PM

H1GHROLLR 21-08-2011 01:23 PM

Hey guys just some quick advice , are the 2 pot rear wrx caliper from the real late model wrx a straight fit onto the early girl ?

Mister Two 21-08-2011 01:27 PM

no. It will require dog bones caliper mount adapters. Or a rear hub swap.

H1GHROLLR 21-08-2011 01:42 PM

thanks mister :) and are 1995 rears the same caliper as 1999 rear ?

dtrally 21-08-2011 05:00 PM
thanks mister :) and are 1995 rears the same caliper as 1999 rear ?
Not on an Aussie car, but on yours quite possibly they are the same.
If yours has rear ventilated discs then they are the same as non STi 99/00.

H1GHROLLR 21-08-2011 05:28 PM

Painted up the 4 pots in a gun metal metallic, then got the missis awesome nail painting techniques on the the Subaru logo and cleared the lot, got some DBA 4000 rotors too, with any luck they should be on tomorrow ....

They are gonna look awesome.
They initial bite of the four pots are much better than the two pots.
Well mine were, but mine were due replacement any way.
