Cut the spare tyre well out and rivnut a thin sheet of alluminium in place. Will take out some un-needed wieght and make good space for a rear diffuser or even cut short the rear bumper bar for that agro hill-climb look.

Got to get those rear diff cross member thing weights out first.
Reckon you can get to them while it’s still on the car? Haven’t had a look yet

Can def get the big one pretty easy. The smaller ones probably wont be able to get a grinder in there. But they are just tack welded on from memory. You could maybe stick a pry bar in there and work em loose.
Dont know. I did mine with the out-rigger out of the car before i converted the car. And it was along time ago.

Might have a crack on the weekend. Got a dremel so might sacrifice a few little discs if I can get that in there.

A welded panel VS a removable panel wouldnt have made 2/10ths of fuck all difference to a crash like that. The advantage of removable is you can use aluminium like maybe 0.5 - 0.8mm which wieghs nothing. And you can remove it and have more access when you need it.
