Hey Yall, I just had a spur or the moment urge to see if anything was happening with the old girl.

Shane nice work mate, good to see she's still getting love, I like what you've done with the white rims.

I'm looking forward to see what you do with her.. wish I still had that sort of disposable cash.

Loved that car.. Anti Lag - STi Tuned - YouTube

V5 STi

This is where the V5 currently sits while its being built.. After 18 years of grease and shit everywhere I'm giving it a total clean both cross members and all nuts and bolts being cleaned and repainted while its out.
All seals, Bearings, CV joints and Drive shafts are being replaced and rebuilt as we speak

All grommets are being replaced with Whiteline and newer parts to replace old and cracked ones

dazdavies 21-08-2017 05:16 AM

Rear thrust conversion on the EJ22T was that done locally?

I'm hoping you've gone with a 79mm crank and stroked it.

Makes a massive difference torque wise and they rev like a dremel too.

Hey Daz,
the whole engine was done over east I have only just put the engine on the engine stand at this stage it has V4 heads so i need to take it to get a look over and to see if its worth keeping these heads and putting in a ECU that can convert it to use, I havent even picked a shop to take it to yet, while its in there then i will change things on it and go down that path we spoke about

dazdavies 22-08-2017 06:15 AM

The V4 heads are pretty good to be fair. I had RCM convert a set for the later GD STI shimless buckets. I'll dig some pictures out they were a work of art.

Worth doing if you're going to be pushing the motor.

I can highly recommend Galloways for machining.
The stuff they did for me was exceptionally good and right up there with RCM's stuff I've had in the past.

dazdavies 24-08-2017 03:39 AM

Here's the pics I promised.
This was a build I did back in 2011, Never knew what happened to it as the bloke I built it for sold the project before it was finished. Shame as the engine was awesome.
Rare goodness my Cusco 6 speed centre diff
Does that do away with dccd? How tight will it be? Are you worried about losing turn in if the diff us always grabby?

KAHNAGE 17-09-2017 12:25 AM
Does that do away with dccd? How tight will it be? Are you worried about losing turn in if the diff us always grabby?
Hey Bram, i dont have dccd in this car if thats what youre asking?, this has only been on the car/ previous engine for a little bit, and at that it was over 3 years ago so i cant remember as even back then i only drove it on the weekends, im not worried about losing turns as ill only use this for weekends or special occasions.
I will let you know how it performs though once up and running.
