I think it's just the cams that allow it to hang on. Your little Dom is still bigger than my turbo. Besides, you hit peaks 500rpm before I do!

Shit, Bram approves! I was actually waiting for a burn from you, haha.

edit: if you do want one at any stage, contact Gav @ GT Graphics. I've left the design with him and told him if anyone enquires that I'll forward them onto him. Was $60

Just a minor update. Car has spent a couple of days at workshops recently. After participating in Roll-On drags at Barbagallo and getting my arse handed to me repeatedly by 500+ horsepower cars (was still a bunch of fun), my clutch started showing signs of not holding up. Was slipping like mad after only two races. On my 4th run I also popped a vacuum hose so called it a night and limped home with the car driving like a bag'o'dicks (hose was fixed with the help of mates but the car was running rich as hell on the way home).

I decided to go to Whoop Ass Wednesday a few days later to give the clutch a funeral and see what trap speed I could achieve with the slipping clutch (strangely it would slip in first and second, but start gripping into third). That lasted two runs before it was fucked but managed to get 171km/h trap so I was happy with that for a slipping clutch and rubbish launches. Only managed a 13.6 with the slipping clutch, while disappointing was to be expected.

New clutch went in a week later - an Xtreme 6 puck ceramic clutch. Actually drives much better than expected once it settled in. Took it back to the Motorplex and managed to run a 12.9 @ 175km/h with a shitty 1.9s 60 foot time. Only my second time at the drags, so need to work out my launching as I was bogging down heaps. Also my gear changes are quite slow as no doubt having the 5 speed implode rests in the back of my mind while racing.

After that night, my car started running very rich and my fuel pump (Walbro 255) got noisier. I decided to change this out as the noise has been known to occur in the lead up to them giving up the ghost. As it's something that is reasonably inexpensive I decided to err on the side of caution and change it out. Went with a DW65c as it was in stock locally, drops straight in without any drama and is e85 compatible. Touch wood it doesn't shit the bed.

The car is currently in the hands of Jamie @ Tokyo Motorsport, checking out some cold start and hesitation gremlins that have been around for a while. Apparently it's leaning out on tip-in, so there's some injector/fueling issues somewhere. Fuel reg and pressures are all good (56psi start up, 42psi idle) so maybe a shitty injector or just a tweak of some tables required. Will update when the car returns...

Jamie couldn't get the car to behave while having a look in between jobs on Thursday and Friday so I limped it home with a shitload of stalling. Couple of anus-puckering moments! Today I decided to see if my throttle body butterfly was sticking slightly from gunking up. I have been getting lots of blow-by and oil through my intake (catch can coming soon) so figured it was worth a check.

I pulled the BOV, intercooler and all associated hoses off the car and sure enough, plenty of traces of oil including the throttle body mouth and around the butterfly. Cleaned it all up, reset the ECU, took it for a 45 miunte drive and it drove like a dream!

We'll see how long that lasts....

Well after 2 days of driving beautifully, it has started acting up again. Stalled when pulling out of the driveway and again half way through turning left at a roundabout. That was a bit scary. Back to the drawing board...

How did your maf sensor look mate? Also if you're keen you could try pull your spark plugs and eyeball them.
