Thanks, yeah I think I remembering seeing you, didn't get a proper look though. Unable to fully enjoy until the tune, such a tease..

Cool so flew back form work last night, got the Lathe Werks shift knob installed and the new alternator cover on.

Despite it looking quite large, the piston knob is actually smaller than I expected, but feels nice and solid in the hand. And no, I can't feel the difference in shifting with the extra weight :P

(Since the photo I have connected the boot to the base of the knob properly)

Cover went on no dramas, nice little touch.

Dropped the car into MMS today for an Ecutek tune, Rob was a great guy and explained everything well. Will post up the plots this evening when I pick the car up (not expecting much numbers-wise TBH, but that's ok...)

does that gear knob sit higher than the standard knob?

Keen for a dildo spec but a metal variant...

Ill measure when I get it back this arvo, dont think it does though. It just looks it because the boot isnt pulled up enough

Lathe Werks knob sits about 1-2mm higher than the stock leather one. Can't really tell the difference tbh.

As promised here is the dyno plot, blue before tune, red is after:

Nothing crazy but didn't expect it with only a TBE...very happy to have more power sooner though!

Edit:
Rather than going for the standard fog light covers, I've ordered a set of these from the states for $225 delivered.

nice

PLENTY of torque alot more early and a good KW gain for a TBE + tune.

do not like those foglight things

graph looks good - headed in the right direction.. more torque, more power... plus plus plus

...not 100% sold on the small fog lights?

Although compared to the same old covers it could be a winner

P.S. FOGLIGHTS > COVERS

Yeah, can't wait to get on the track in a fortnight, the only thing I'm missing is the sway bars.

All the yanks seem to hate them too, they practically give the things away, I'm not a fan of trying to imitate the STi's so you won't be seeing foglight covers, splitters or a big ass ironing board spoiler in this build. It's a WRX, why pretend to be something you're not?

The fog's are my last cosmetic mod, from now on it's handling, braking and then maybe power.

Nice work with the exhaust + tune, enjoy!!

Im with you on not having an STI spoiler. I was tempted before to do that + debage the rear, now im pretty much settled on the stock spoiler.

Though, I do like the STI fog covers (logo's removed), splitters + front lip combo. Does looks schweet on the peanuts.
