Would like to know, been in a DOG-BOX WRX and it was a PIG TO DRIVE.
They can be driven kinda-smooth but not overly desirable as a daily I would think

STRAIGHT-CUTS with SYNCHROS on the other hand are a perfect blend of smooth(ish) engagement and BULLET-PROOF teeth.

The clutchs sounds the most fun though... "I swear officer if it takes off on any less then 3000RPM...."
stop yelling.

To be honest I wouldn't have any idea, BUT I am sure that there has been a few people on P-WRX in your position whom can help.

I would come down to how did they fail? assembly error, not letting it warm up, etc (not saying you don't but thats what they will point and ask)

2.5L seem to be touch and go when they are built I have noticed (Tino being the exception). Whether it is bearings, O-rings or oil supply...

Farking LOL at Tino being the exception. He built a 2.5 tougher than 99% of the population and it still popped.
No one is exempt from the shitness of the 2.5
teejay and Dan [GTI] like this.
