Ok, so ive owned this car long enought to be happy with its health condition and have decided its time to tickle it a little. Aiming to keep response and reliability im eyeing off a 1.5 xtr for midrange as im not interested in revving its guts out to have fun. The question is what size injectors should i be aiming at and the intake side, want to go to 3 inch intake but keep it enclosed so i dont get stickered. Any recommendations? Also for those who know of my car will the fuel pump be adequate or should i be looking for something bigger? Would like to see some e85 in the future as well is all.. cheers lads.

If E85 is in sight for plans, go with 1000cc injectors. With pumps something around the 265lph mark should be fine, I am personally using a dw65c.

OK Mr Gong...your car has (or at least should have) a Walbro pump and MRT in tank mini surge pot (ie sits around the pickup)...I did have a Process West anti surge with a Bosch 044 which mounted under the RH rear, but sold it separately when I sold the car....however I have exactly what you need especially for E85.....an in boot separate custom (MMS) surge pot with Bosch 044 (or may be higher spec) and all braided lines....yours for a mere $550....it was specifically built for E85 and specifically for Targa Tas. If you are interested email me at steve.pummer@health.wa.gov.au and I will send you a photo...

ID1000's will max out at approx 450 hp on e85. The new generation of ID1300's should provide some added headroom and still idle just as well.

1300's are expensive but look and sound the ducks nuts..
is this the set i need? and will they be straight swap or require rails?
ID1300cc PnP (WRX/STi 01-14) - All Categories

Also this is the intake im eyeing off.. should do? chose this one because im thinking a larger maf could be handy or will it be overkill?

Yeh i would ring your tuner, because as far as im aware you wont get anywhere near 450hp with a 1.5xtr even on e85. I reckon you will be fine with 1000's

Pretty sure Serbaru's 1.5xtr was nearly out of puff at around 365hp at the wheels on a built 257, but fuckloads of torque 550nm from memory.
