They didnt machine my flywheel as originally quoted. They swapped it for one that had been machined. That was the difference. Why did I pay you ask? Because as strange as I thaught it was they bailed me up and told me just before payment I had yet to drive the car and notice. It was shudders straight from first release. I thaught it was weird but also expected it would bed in smoothly or something. It never did.

And lol bram, pretty much.. I had a bad experience, find me a workshop that hasnt had some negative response. And then I was thrown in the shredder for talking about it. I know they do great work, my current car is an example but I'll never go back. I think the clutch started to slip at about 9000 ks..

This is bang on, well said that man.

That was my problem with ASG. Their work on my engine was horrendously bad. Instead of admitting it and offering the original owner of my car, who spent around $60K with them, something back they just told lie after lie to avoid it all. They even invented stories of the car going elsewhere when it never did.

Glad I outed them for their shite work.

Yep i take mine to Stechnic i had my very old injectors cleaned properly taken off the rail and cleaned flow checked, on the drive home i smelt fuel like really strong pulled over it was a fairly warm day the injector near the turbo was leaking bad how it did not catch on fire i don't know.

I rang Doug he even offered to have it towed for me i said thats cool I'm in the RAC i get it for free anyway straight back to the workshop and fixed no questions asked apparently the rubber o rings can be a bit temparental to seal sometimes. Thats why i go back as i say its how they deal with that matters.

never had a problem with doug and his crew. always been my go to for servicing and they built my last motor. its death was self inflicted by me and had nothing to do with there handywork. honestly i couldnt afford to get them to sort it out again. i let mao take charge of this install. i also have never had a problem with his work or tuning. his workshop has been a bit chaotic in the past but i seen him as the ideal candidate to take on my car when its half ripped apart and practically in boxes. he gladly took it on in its rough state and i trust he will turn it into something we can both be proud of. Also his prices are always honest and fair. his new workshop is pretty sweet and hes pretty inundated with business at the moment. very happy for him

car died due to oil starvation. prob too much hover near limiter i assume.
build still slow in limbo waiting for heads to return from machine shop for facing and oversize valves. should be pretty brisk from then but how long they take is anyones guess.
not keen on oil problems again so killer b pickup. sump has baffles already.
as i dont really race it im finding hard to justify killer b sump on my current budget of car + building a house.
did have innovative mtx-d dual function oil pressure and temp gauge installed to hopefully combat repeat of previous.
patiently waiting..

I got an oil pressure gauge installed in my wrx now, and be buggered if I'd ever be without one.
