*Shudder*

Brings back memories of when I did mine. I had more luck with the gearbox tunnel but getting all the sticky crap off ready for paint was a pain.

Well done!

ok, so massive update as lots have been happeing without forum updates...

will try and do it by dates...

4/03/2013

Sat down to get all the stuff, stripped, sanded, scrapped, brushed etc to get ready for priming. This included the front and rear k-frames, moustache bar, trailing arms, sway bars etc etc...

this was honestly so much fun and really quite intruiging to see what the stuf had done before hand. Glad we went to the effort as all the grease, shit and mud on that stuff was incredible and underneath hid some rough stuff that was turning to rust. all cleaned up and primed... what a wicked weekend!

during that week, Kel finished off the sound deadening which was a godsend.

after that, when we had a few hours the next weekend, i showed kel how to do a rear brake conversion due to the hub swap to fit the 2 pot brakes. She loved it and was great fun!

10/03/2013

painting!

got some gear from autopro canningvale for the painting and did it in a day! i know that alot of you say its a waste of time, but it looks great, we can see what is all good and if anything breaks/spilts we can see where it comes from.

somewhere in between we took out the fuel tank, cleaned it and re-attached it

21/03/2013

STi group N bushes and mounts arrive!

25/03/2013

whiteline links, bushes and locking bolts arrived

coilovers (10kg front/8kg rear)

HEL braided brakelines

Project mu pads have arrived aswell (get them tomorrow), dba 4000 rears are here aswell, 5000 are on order, hopefully before easter when we put her back together!

pressing the bushes on saturday and then we'll see how we go!

pretty proud of how its coming along...

thanks to all that helped, kel, dave, bob, jester and scotty... its been a blast so far!

Looks awesome! Love the blue parts! I think its a good idea to do that. Keeps it clean and also easier to keep well maintained.

It's begun...

After much learning and beers all the STI group N bushes were finally pressed. Thanks to quexy, matty, Jim, jarrod, Shane, master d and Jai for tools, hands, laughs and innuendos in the process.

Rear assembly could now begin...

Monday night saw bob descend on le' Garage Maloney to add hands and blue bits started going back into the black bus.

Rear underbody running gear was assembled, slid in and jacked up into place. Whiteline rear sub frame bolts were installed, whiteline front diff support bushes were installed and everything tightened up.

Rear STD coilovers installed, abs sensors, handbrake assembly and HEL braided brake lines all connected up.

WRX two pot rears, Project MU HC+ pads and DBA 4000 series rotars installed.

Next to reinstall rear sway bar with whiteline HD links and bushes then onto the front...
