Having done an Audi performance driving day in an RS5 with passengers and driver that did 64 on Barbs long that doesn't surprise me.

Driver was Steve Pazzati (Aussie Top Gear Presenter).

Love Audis.

Recently drove my dads, 2010/11 S4 (V6 Supercharged). Like Jimmy has said solid car and the power delivery isn't kick in your ass but more...oh shit i'm doing 100+ and not even noticing it.

Would have loved a wagon... but the Aus-delivered ones all seem to go for quite a bit more than the equivalent sedan...

Comparison is closest to the E92..

Both V8, both sound amazing! The M3 seems to just have the edge in performance in most categories, but 4 doors and AWD grip more than makes up for that on the street IMO! :D

Yeah I took one out for a spin mate, I loved it, the control, the [B][U][SIZE="4"]sound[/SIZE][/U][/B], the power (not as "torquey" as the evo but better in other ways)
I ended up deciding against it for a few reasons, I am too young to settle down with a euro :p, I KNEW that if I bought it i'd end up dropping 30k-40k in the first month to supercharge it, and I was too curious about how the Evos SST performs.
Some days I regret it, some I don't. :p Very interested to see what sort of mod path you take mate!

So... Have been saving moneys up with the plan to purchase something in the way of exhaust or rims for the Audi... But this popped up near new on eBay this week and I couldn't resist given it is really the only off-the-shelf intake available for the RS4, but at $1700rrp+post brand new, it was a long way out of reach at that price for what is essentially cosmetic, although I was told it does make a fantastic noise!

Anyway... Picked it up yesterday after work and fitted it last night. First impression while cruising along waiting for the car to warm up this morning was that I had wasted a fair bit of coin, however, giving it a bit of a squeeze on the Roe hwy onramp I heard what everyone carries on about, and why people do drop nearly $2k on a pretty pod filter... Must have looked like a proper idiot rolling onto the highway with a giant stupid grin on my face!... :D

minor update for anyone still following this thread! :)

Caught up with Phil from Eurospec in Balcatta yesterday and loaded up a tune on the RS4 which allegedly nets +18kW and 25Nm... And would say that the bum-dyno certainly supports that sort of improvement all through the rev range! Car feels great!! Very happy with the service and results! :D
