So... Have been saving moneys up with the plan to purchase something in the way of exhaust or rims for the Audi... But this popped up near new on eBay this week and I couldn't resist given it is really the only off-the-shelf intake available for the RS4, but at $1700rrp+post brand new, it was a long way out of reach at that price for what is essentially cosmetic, although I was told it does make a fantastic noise!



Anyway... Picked it up yesterday after work and fitted it last night. First impression while cruising along waiting for the car to warm up this morning was that I had wasted a fair bit of coin, however, giving it a bit of a squeeze on the Roe hwy onramp I heard what everyone carries on about, and why people do drop nearly $2k on a pretty pod filter... Must have looked like a proper idiot rolling onto the highway with a giant stupid grin on my face!...

minor update for anyone still following this thread!

Caught up with Phil from Eurospec in Balcatta yesterday and loaded up a tune on the RS4 which allegedly nets +18kW and 25Nm... And would say that the bum-dyno certainly supports that sort of improvement all through the rev range! Car feels great!! Very happy with the service and results!



Also ordered a Magnaflow cat-back system from Phil at the same time! Should be here in a month or two or three... :P
