Many thanks to Tony for supply of a new pump on short notice! The DW65c came with all the bits for install, including new o-rings and filter.

Took apart the car on the weekend and found the cause of the dead walbro.
Not many photos because new phone and didn't want petrol all over it haha.

Anyway, seems like the suction nozzle broke off somehow and was probably sucked into the pump? I'm not sure why the filter sock was not installed, I did forget to check whether it is floating in the fuel tank or not.

Also bought a new battery as the oem has never been replaced and the battery was fully drained when trying to start the car with the dead pump.

Car runs now but takes twice as long to crank before it starts, battery is a 500CCA which should be sufficient.

It's in to ASG tomorrow to get some stuff done so will get their opinion.

Could it be fouled spark plugs?

Some goodies that were put in yesterday

Ferodo pads are amazing, very progressive pedal feel and no noise (touch wood)

Short shifter and bushings have firmed up the gear changes a lot as well as the reduction in throw length. Gear changes are very positive and direct.

Just need a wheel alignment and mounting of fire extinguisher and should be ready for nolimits coming up.

Retune booked in 2 weeks time to install boost solenoid and to clean up the tune.

Now to save for wheels!

Picked up an extinguisher bracket from Russ over the weekend and installed it. Bracket fitted perfectly and seat rails have full range of movement so pretty happy with that.

Also took apart the fuel pump again and double o-ringed the suction nozzles which fixed the slow cranking problem.

Boost solenoid and retune booked this Thursday morning & will be ready for nolimits that evening

Grimmspeed solenoid is in and retuned.
Did query the valleys in the torque curve but Sean said thats normal as it's the avcs kicking in.
Pulls hard and you don't feel any loss.

Still considering whether to do headers or not, at this stage don't have the funds to upgrade turbo or a budget to do a rebuild if anything breaks so it's tuned quite safe. Apparently more power can be had out of the stock VF52.

First time out at no limits on thursday - did a 1:21 long / 64 short.
Was okay for first time out i guess but plenty of improvement can be made.

Gonna try putting the rear 25mm sway bar on the softest setting next time instead off maximum hard and see how it goes. The rear end was just way too twitchy and couldn't put down power without it upsetting the balance of the car.

Ferodo pads held up well but the stock rotors probably wont last much longer.

All in all, fun night and looking to head out again soon to improve my times!

Pads were already fine for daily use after a quick bed in session after installing.
There's no sqeaks or noises and stops like stock pads when cold.

Didn't experience any pad fade while on track even after multiple runs.

Overall very impressed

That sounds promising after several track days the stock pads are starting to cry for help. These sound like a good track/street pad. How is the dust?
