Really?
Hmmmm, the wires split into two sections - one goes to the diff and the other goes up into the chassis somewhere?

I have had to bend the bracket backwards a little to accommodate the longer
Whiteline sway bar end link attachment bolt.

Cheers fellas.

2010 Sti. Yeah I would have thought it was a handling VDC sensor as it has a little arm that attaches to the lateral arm which rotates the spline in the middle of the sensor. I will try to take some better pics later.

KW-V3's me likey too.

Hill assist is a mechanical system. It uses a linkage from the clutch pedal, that connects to a mechanism/cylinder plumbed in between the master cylinder and ABS modulator, only on 1 of the 2 circuits. (think front right and rear left?) Least thats where it used to be on my forester before i chopped it out and fabricated new brake line to bypass it.

im 99.9% sure its for the headlight levelling. It measures the rear suspension hieght and uses that to determine the required angle of the headlights. The idea is that when you load a car with cargo/passengers/fuel, the weight typically is added to the rear. Therefore it mostly affects the rear hieght. Whereas the constant weight stuff (engine/gearbox/driver/ 1/2 the car body) is mostly over the front axle and doesnt alter. So they use the rear height change to determine headlight angle.

Most subarus with HIDs have this feature, as it is needed for ADR approval. Some of the early HID Suabrus (like 04/05 JDM Forester with HID) have a manual adjustmemt switch.

Pressing the bush through for mounting in stiffest sway bar position. Whiteline instructions were a little vague on on how to do this...

The gizmo that Mr Whiteline fouls on, with suspension in normal position.

Hit that bolt with the grinder you reckon?

Suspension fully extended.

So no biggie but something to be aware of if you have a g3 WRX/STi and want to run a Whiteline rear bar on full retard. In hindsight I should have gone the 24mm motorsport bar as this combo 24mm/22mm (even on stiffest setting) doesn't really do it for me.

So what do you reckon grind the bolt off or more bendage on the bracket?

Those little pivoting arms on the gizmo are ball/socket joints and seem happy to move about with the bracket bent about 5mm from original position.

id just chop the whiteline bolt down. screw the nut on before you chop it so that as you unwind the bolt it straightens the chopped threads. take you about 3 seconds with a cut off wheel.
