Went in to see old Alan at city subaru and got a letter stating the rear is privacy and doesn't contain any tint material.

Went over the pits and the inspector goes what are you in for and I said it's for dark privacy glass. He was like "what a idiot, he should of known better"

Front brembos are fitted now. The pads do make a bit of noise when cold and produce a fair amount of brake dust but I'm sure I'll love it after my first run on the track.

'12 STi calipers
DBA T3-4000 rotors
Mu HC800+ pads
Mu brake fluid

I did have some pictures of the actual rebuild process of the calipers but I think they're on my other SD card which has grown legs, I'll upload them if I find it.

Thought I would update this thread now that things have changed a bit. The betty is pretty much finished now, stripped it back to almost stock and will be using it as my daily run around. Quite a comfortable and easy car in its stock form actually.

Then I bought this evo v, which will be my new weekend/track car. I'll keep the mods simple for now, exhaust, intake, injectors + pump with an e85 tune and see where it goes from there. Would still like to attend p-wrx events as I do enjoy the people here but can understand if an evo isn't welcomed

Thought I would cross post this update from evo-oz if anybody is interested in following. If not welcomed just let me know

Installed a COP kit as I had a small misfire in the top end and figured this was better than replacing any coil packs with oem replacements. Put the wiring together myself which took a few hours as it's the first time I've attempted any real wiring for a car. A better tool kit might have made the job easier too :P Excuse the phone pics, didn't have my camera on me. Will have to get some better pictures at a later date now that the wiring is tidied up and sleeved.

Next up my new plates arrived 'JDM V'. A touch wanky perhaps, but I feel it's a nice touch. I've never been a fan of the state issued plates and always wanted to get some black ones.

Also got hold of a set of Evo 8 MR BBS wheels and threw on some Hankook Z221 rubber in 225/45/17.

With all that done an open spot popped up for Sunday at the RAC track so I decided to take it for a whirl. I only got a basic alignment (which turned out to just be front toe adjust) so it was less than ideal but I had fun none the less. The small high rpm misfire decided to come back too so I had to limit rpms to 5000 so I could have a couple of runs. Was great fun though, and a very different drive to the WRX I was used to driving.

Ended up with a best of 1:06.6 on the day recording times with racechrono. Less than a second slower than my old WRX that had about 100hp more atw, was set up better, and I had more seat time in. Looking forward to seeing what it will do with some more seat time and mods as time goes on.

Good work Jack. Are you going to be doing the Mc sprint series this year with it?

Remember too Jack: this is the equivalent of a GC8. Much lighter than your later model WRX, by a couple hundred kgs probably. That means it will at the very least be more responsive to steering and getting it around a corner. Braking should be better. Acceleration... well you've got 100hp less but it's also pushing 200kg less.
Give it a few more laps out there and you'll close the gap even without any mods.

What are future performance plans?
