Most damage is done ramping up to boost (peak of torque) and peak of HP.

Whats the "long term" feedback correction like?

Instant knock event's are helpful however long-term feedback is more useful.

Infact posting up the 2D grid from the ECU

RPM down one side and Load across the top and then finally instances of knock in the guts paints a better picture.

I know its late now, but just came back from EVO R, I want to post up to thank two people.

Thanks to Rob from Ultrex to arrange a next day pick up for an EL header. The header is in top quality, made by SSR in taiwai, so does Tomei. It comes with metal gasket, SS studs and bolts and copper washer, the collector is very clean and welding is super neat.

The heat wrap is in good quality too, it has stitching on the edge. The sound is amazing.

Secondly, thanks to Mao to stay up to 10:30 to fit SBC iD twin solenoid EBC and tune my car. Blitz has its own PID boost control, takes out the slow ECU calculation.

The twin solenoid itself is lot bigger than my GS 3port solenoid (which will be up for sale soon). the factory control is deleted (c photos).

Car is tuned with four maps!!!, each has its own fuel and timing map. The highest number we achieved is 314WHP and 480 WTQ @ 23PSI (1.6bar), but over 100% injector duty cycle, so its just a trail run for fun, but still zero knocking!

Other three settings are 215WHP @ 10PSI (0.7bar); 260WHP @ 15PSI (1bar); 290 WHP @ 19PSI (1.3bar).

Car feels laggier below 3000rpm, but above it, it so much faster. The dyno sheet just cant tell the full story.

The only concern i found so far (30min of driving) is car back fires a bit, but its pretty cold tonight.

At last for anyone's interest, all Bloutch, GT pump, Kinugawa, Zage, Force performance turbos are all made from the same factory -- Zage in Taiwan.

AND Bloutch's patent 271 just expired, so Kinugawa is making ball bearing GT2871 (Garret based) turbo with billet wheels as we r speaking , but their TD series turbos (MHI based) will still be thrust bearing for now.

I have attached a Zage turbo for reference, very good quality TBH.

same style as my old evo-r tune.. peaky midrange with reduced top end. 1000k powerband really.. responds well to short shifting. used to kick like a mule on the way in compared to the new car but now i totally notice the fade out in the higher rpm. no action till 4000. boost and timing wound back in top end?

Correct. I asked for pull out timing at high rpm to get zero knock correction. i intend to track the car, any knocking at that rpm is particularly dangerous in my mind. Also because boost controller set to reduce boost to 1.1bar for 1.3bar setting.

Car feels fast above 3.5k rpm. Relative transient state on the dyno make the power band look smaller than it drives like imo. Its more like 2k rpm usable power.
