the interesting thing is the early SG is a 2.5L, but it has the so called '2.0L sump'.

And the 2.0L twinscroll engines have the so called '2.5L sump'

Gets confusing doesnt it?

this nasioc page has some good info. but again some of the 2.0L vs 2.5L info is not entirely spot on because of the different market/engine sizes etc. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...8&postcount=36

Troy at Prospeed is good to email if your unsure of fitment or Ive emailed Killer B direct before and they are helpful as well . Weather its a 2.5 or a 2.0 I think your crazy to run the factory pickups .

The 2.5 is notorious but Ive seen the 2.0 ones fail in Rally cars as well. The brazing is just a shit idea in such a volatile environment . It probably wouldn't be as bad if the bracing of the pickup was better on a stock unit .

Its cheap insurance to do at least the pickup but I always do the windage tray too. Id just fucking hate to see someone save the pennies and put love into a new engine or modded stock and have the pickup fail or aerate their oil and shart their motor . its not expensive in the scheme of things to do it. Shit some people spend 300+ on a catch can and its not as important as oil supply.

Fuck imagine the devo of building a new motor and 3 months down the track the pickup fails at mid to high rpm and your motor lunches my wife would bloody disown me .

Ps apologies for my shit engrish and swearing. lol oh and for hijacking Gordon sorry bud

yeah. def do it.

with my motor i have a moroso sump and pickup. but i have the killer b windage tray. i think doing away with the stock pickup is about 100 times more benificial than the windage tray unless you plan on really throwing the car around. In which case dry-sump, accumulator and associated hardware. haha.

Cheers, I always assumed it was the 2.5 pickup but wasn't sure. Motor is already built and running, but I've been meaning to upgrade it.

When do you think your car will be up and running? I think I will swap in engines within the coming month. Really just waiting for some exhaust wrap to be delivered.

Awesome. What run in process are you using?

Did you end up going flex or just using one of your Si modes to run a corn tune?
