Picked up a spec c oil cooler kit for later on use when the motor comes out at some stage to fit and mock up

Opinions guys.

Are the stock spec c cooler its self good ? Or is a aftermarket unit better in anyway ?Click image for larger version

Why is the motor coming out?

Mock it up while its in the car so you can see clearance etc.

Spec C cooler looks fine. The unit is smallish but would be fine for what you use the car for.

Not coming out anytime soon i hope (touchwood) everything is fine atm

clutch is starting to get a bit on the week side so just planing on either taking the motor out when it needs to be replaced as taking the 6 speed out on the ground gives me PTSD

Very true just wanting to know where the easiest spot to make it work and mount it as is

Cool i guess it would be better than a modine cooler even with its OE size

Cheers Craig appreciate the input mate

Small update I guess

coil pack failed on my car and friends needed some spares so I bought some from the USA and chucked them on straight forward swap re pin and go car seems fine

Bought a GrN shifter assembly of Japan Parts and took out the old stock sti unit and the improvement was insane I did not realise how much better this unit was over the factory one also put on a GrN rear shifter support

And purchased some Wedssport TC105N which are on the way back to AUS as we speak cant wait to fit them

I have jacks hill this month to try and beat my PB with a new wheel alignment and E85 so I'm looking forward to that then collie later on in the year and a few sprint series events if I can squeeze them in whilst still doing navi duties Click image for larger version

I bought and installed the same GrpN shifter and bush when doing my 6 speed conversion, and can attest to it being such a slick unit.
