Well. After many weeks i have got to the stage of finalising mounting the turbo. It hopefully wont have to come off again during the build. All the plumbing is taken care off except the wastegate and oil cooler. Coolant is in the engine again. Im ready to start wiring in the ECU now.

Errrgh ma gawd! So many wires. Arrrrgh!

Spent all day wiring the ECU. And it seems like ive not even done the half of it. Ive gone for the chop the OEM plugs off (one wire at a time) and terminate the new plugs inplace approach. Less clutter than trying to make an adapter harness or similar.

So far ive wired:
Crank Angle Sensor
Cam Angle Sensor Left
Cam Angle Sensor Right
AVCS Left
AVCS Right
MAP
IAT
ECT
TPS Main
TPS Sub
DBW Motor
Accelerator Pedal Main
Accelerator Pedal Sub
Thermo Fan Hi
Thermo Fan Lo
Knock Sensor
BCS
VSS
INJ 1-4
IGN 1-4
5v+ out
Sensor ground
IGN switch in.
E-Throttle relay control.

My head is fubarred ATM. So many wires. So many sensor related acronyms.

No. No flux for me. The ECU can handle it, but on a car like this i see no point. It just means extra hassle. More wires, more work for the tuner. And id probably never use PULP98 ever again anyways.

Im going old school with the boost control too. I wont actually be using the BCS. Instead i will simply change springs inside the wastegate until the desired boost level is achieved. And run wastegate pressure.
