Well, 25psi is still a very good point for a Dom 1.5. Perhaps you won't need to go FMIC?
I'm still leaning far more towards the 20g xtr than the Dom 1.5 myself, but am still open to being convinced otherwise by other people's results. |

Sounds like RSS fucked you a bit. Rubbish machining and installing incorrect parts? Did you get any recompense or did you just wipe your hands of it and cop it on the chin?

I dont want to bad mouth RSS because apart from remachining the blockface, my experience was good. The machining is done by and external company, not RSS. And i have seen machinig on there other builds and its been great. I think i was just unlucky I think most of the issues were caused from kelford, prospeed and RSS all miscommunicating with each other in regards to parts (which was an issue and meant i had to do a lot of chasing up) To many parties involved. How ever, the engine shop were fantastic and directed the build back into a fun event. I believe the dom 1.5 xtr will make more power than the 20g xtr but i guess time will tell.

It definitely will, it flows more air. I wish I went the Dom to be honest but my 20g performs very well. I don't think I'd want anything that spooled up any slower. I'm fairly sure the Dom spool up is just as good as the 20g from what I've seen so far.

Will be a fucking weapon with those numbers coming off Lanes dyno.

I have been told its a "more realistic" dyno, than some of the others in Perth producing pie-in-the-sky numbers. Yeah? |

Yeah it's a roller and generally reads lowish from my experience. Lane can certainly make a car fuckoffski with it.

I'm told there's approximately 200rpm difference in spool. I'm sure the 1.5xtr is the better choice for a built motor.

Had it done on the Hub dyno at Tokyo MS too. Both were identical at 605whp. Go figure. People get far too focused on dyno numbers. It's what it does on the tarmac that counts.
