Car jigged today and looks like I got away with it. New crossmember sourced and will get cracking on the repair/rebuild tomorrow

Away to the unit today as it has a hoist so I can fix/rebuild in comfort

To say I've had a productive week down at the unit after work is an understatement.
Crossmember, ball joints, track rod ends, cactus suspension and steering components all replaced. New front panel tacked on and reassembled for alignment checks. Will take it all apart again tomorrow, weld the panel on and get it ready for paint. |
Got any pics of the damage (so, before shots)?

Tow eyes cut off and replaced with a strap. These eyes caused a fair bit of damage during the bingle and I had to jig the car.

Coilover snapped/offside wishbone bent like a banana/near side wishbone kinked/steering rack bent/couldn't see any subframe damage but wasn't going to chance it, so replaced it along with ball joints n track rod ends/ knackered front panel/bent offside front guard. This is also why I jigged it as no point in repairing it if the shell was toast. Didn't take pics when jigging or front panel replacement as just got stuck in and got it done |
looked like a bad accident when we went past.
hope you guys were ok! looks like the rebuild is almost done :-) |
