Bit of JDM Power Folding Mirror goodness;

Mirrors were $200 on eBay. They were blue, but fun fact with the later GD mirrors (2 piece design) the outer covers are interchangeable so no need for paint.

$30 Toyota switch and some basic wiring and all up and running

Few minor bits to add;

- Fitted the HT Autos side skirt extensions

- New rubber all round 255,35 (finally the tyre lettering is gone!)

Rubbish pic late afternoon;

Carbon Fiber HKS Kansai Style Diffuser on the way;

Next steps;

- roll center kit fitted
- smidge lower
- less camber up front
- minor repair to diffuser and get it fitted up

Will post some proper pictures once all complete

Doubt anyone still goes on here

Anyway, here we go;

Back in September I had the car retuned on dedicated e85

Got it back and there was something not quite right with the idle - sounded like a miss.

Should have taken that as a warning for the events to come...

2nd gear pull 3 days after getting the car back, almighty bang and a hasty pull over.

Car towed home for assessment.

Stripped down and cylinder 4 - found 2 valves got in a fight with the piston and ultimately I lost;

Carnage is the best way to describe it. Not only toasting the head and piston - the valve debris made their way through the turbo mincing the exhaust wheel and cracking the compressor wheel in the process....sigh...we will rebuild

In a nutshell;

- S20C EJ207 short motor
- S20V V7 JDM "big port" heads
- ARP625's
- JDM/Spec C Long Runner Manifold
- Blouch Rebuilt by Grant @ Per4mance
- 11mm Oil Pump
- Killer B Sump Package
- PW FMIC

Few pictures for your troubles

MMS assembled the short motor/heads and I've done all of the other work in the garage which has been a good learning experience.

Engine dropping in over the weekend and looking forward to starting it up 🎉

Great to see it running again Brett

Keen to see the final product and numbers

Sad to hear that it failed from a tuner who is well respected and has put alot of Subaru's on podiums with his tune in their cars

Who's tuning it next ? Tune corp? RT?

It’s nice to jump on here after a long time away and still see people enjoying modding and playing away.
