Everytime I see an Ultrex product on a Subaru, its only ever a 95% fit. I suspect you wont ever get rid of the gap unfortunately. I have an Ultrex STI front lip, its juuuuust not quite right with a gap on one side.

Glad I'm not the only one then. Haha

Shaving the rubber may help with the fitment issue but its always best practice to trial fit and make the necessary adjustments before painting.

With colors these days painting is an art and even the slightest angles/variations in sunlight can make parts look totally out of whack.

You'll most probably find that when you come to getting the holes sorted you'll need to blend the rear quarters to match the spoiler to the boot lid to the rest of the car.
