Entered my first rally sprint of the year this month (ellenbrook special stage)

After multiple testing days and getting back into the swing of how the car drives I'm ready to give it a thrash in some competition this month I'm not gonna win my budget isn't like the rest of the field but I'm gonna go out have a ball and keep it clean

Rotate of the wheels And new fire equipment is needed and it's ready to go

Go pro will be in the car videoing the 4 runs

Keen as ! Hopefully will report back here after the event with positive news !

are you doing city sprint? Due to spectacular diff failure of GTR i am going to sub in my stockish 05 STI and do the runs.

Nah mate unfortunately work has consumed me for the rest of the year due to low staff and new adventures

Oh that's a shame about the GTR hopefully it didn't do to much damage and can be sorted asap. It was great to see it out and about doing motorsport tings

Great event hosted by the targa west lads

Managed to snag 18th outright out of 80+ cars

First run let me down but that's what I expected after not racing for 2 years.

Rest of the runs were perfect and smooth

I was happy to be mixing it with some much much better drivers than my substandard self and car

I hope to make it back to one or 2 rally sprints and see if I can redeem myself and not crash on the first run

2023-4 updoots


Look I started a family back in 2022 and the car racing and lyfe has taken a major step back,

But I managed to pick up a VF42 from my pals at GIR and slap it on the GC for lols

The car made more power more torque than the VF53 and is wild to drive now

I entered the Ellenbrook sprint again but with it being at night it was stupid fun and hard at with no visibility due to the candle sticks gc headlights are

I finished in the top 10 and 1st place in the targa cup until I found out E85 is not allowed in the New regs under new sanctions

Either way I was kicking myself

Now I am finally getting around to fixing and diagnosing some small issues that have plagued it over the years

I’m hoping that I can enter the City Sprint this year and finally finish my A050 off and then it will have to sit until I can afford some new ones

Wife is preggo again so another step back for the old gc8
