if retaining the factory
ecu with NO FCD (fuel cut defender) u can 'possibly' run 'up to' 1.3bar. Every
ecu will behave differently, some will fuel cut with the slightest increase some have more leniency - 16psi seems to be the happy medium in 80% of cases. Not a fan of FCD's and bleeding boost, you rely too heavily on the factory rich tune to compensate for the increased boost which can lead to detonation (too many irregularities in the 'tune') - even in minor form will turn into a bottom end knock after a few months (as an example).
