You need to have an aftermarket engine tune/computer so that extra timing can be put into the engine at high revs and boost when the water injection is cooling things down.

Without increased timing the engine will produce less power than without water injection. It is the 10-15 degrees extra timing that gives the 50nm.

Forget water spray. If you have water injection it has X times the effect. It will make your car feel like its a cold day on hot days and a very cold night on cold days.
