ECUtek finally getting their shit together and realising people are no longer limited to just one monopoly of
ECU reflashing. From a business point of view, they have done pretty good milking the consumer for as much as possible until competition forces them to reduce fees and become competitive.
Although, we probably wont see any reduction in prices for quite some time as Australia only has two retail Subaru reflash tuners; ECUtek and Verso. Although
AFAIK, Verso has not yet established themselves over east.
